A real cabin tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains.
For twenty years, one of my dreams was to have a little cabin of our own. A place to escape, to breathe, to make memories with my children, and one day, their children, too. I hesitate to even call it a dream, but at eighteen, that's all it felt it was ever going to be. Still, Michael and I would stay up late in the nights caught up in conversations that always started with "can you imagine."
In 2024 Storybook Lodge came true. It’s the place I disappear to read, reset, and write, the place where Call Me Baby and Ghost of Nova Graves were written, and where many more stories will be born. For those who’ve asked: yes, this place is real. And like my books, it’s another piece of my heart I want to share with you. It's available to rent through Blue Sky Cabin Rentals.
